The establishment and management of Sahid Bishnu Dhani Memorial Polytechnic Institute up to this point shows the image depicting the dreams of the martyrs of the great People’s War come true. This institute will provide a good opportunity to the children of the poor farmers to become qualified citizens of the country through affordable technical and practical education.
Every student of this institute will contribute to the process of nation building. The general education is the soul of democratic education which accelerates the nation’s journey of prosperity. We are committed to ensure everyone’s justifiable access to education. There is a difference between democracy and socialism in terms of political system. But their educational essence is almost the same. The analysis of Nepali society shows that we need socialism-oriented education. However, in the context of insignificant development even of democratization of education, our Municipality, the first municipality of Nepal to announce the assurance of compulsory and free basic level education, has been implementing the provision made in the announcement along with free secondary level education by emphasizing the need of socialism-oriented education in Nepal. Presently, forestry is being taught in our municipality and the plan has been made to add more technical education programmes in near future. A polytechnic institute has been established where students can choose the subjects of their interest. At last, I strongly believe that the poor students deprived of technical education due to its expensive and unaffordable fee will get benefitted from this institution and will diligently pursue their study.
