Sahid Bishnu Dhani Memorial Polytechnic Institute, established on 30 Ashadh, 2076 BS, which primarily attempts to contribute to the development of the country through the production of skilled human resources, is an educational institution affiliated to CTEVT and run under the partnership of Barbardiya Municipality and CTEVT. It has started 3-Year Forestry Programme since 2077 BS.
The institution has planned to add other technical courses (Staff Nurse, HA, Lab, Pharmacy, etc.) in near future. The polytechnic institute is supposed to contribute to the production of skilled human resources through the development of technical education. At the local level, it will also ease the access of the students coming from economically weak background to the quality technical education. At the national level, it will contribute to the overall development of the country by reducing its cost of hiring manpower from abroad. It is also believed to create job opportunities by mobilizing the stagnated idle skilled and semi-skilled human resources. Sahid Bishnu Dhani Memorial Polytechnic Institute ensures a disciplined and learner-friendly academic environment for all students. The well-furnished academic building and the administrative building of the institute are under construction.
